Who is Evan Silver?

You might be thinking, "Another coach?” That was exactly what I thought when I began my journey as a leadership and culture coach. I quickly realized that the coaching industry had exploded, and it seemed like EVERYONE was claiming to be a coach. So, what sets me apart?
My story began over ten years ago when one of my mentors saw something in me that I hadn't yet discovered: leadership potential. At the time, I had no clue what that even meant. That encounter sparked something within me, and I've been on a path of growth and development ever since.
Fast forward to today, and my wife and I lead a thriving salon company with a team of 20 talented individuals. We work closely with our lead team to help our company, and those within it to succeed. What sets me apart is that I live and breathe the values I teach every single day. Transparency and integrity are the foundations of my approach, and I strive to exemplify these qualities in all areas of my life. I believe that authenticity is key to building strong relationships.
I understand that the coaching world is crowded and overwhelming. That's why I'm honored to have the chance to connect with you and see how we can work together!
Bio
Born and raised in South Carolina, Evan embarked on his professional journey as a musician, playing guitar in a band from 2005 to 2011. In 2009, he tied the knot with his wife Erin. Three years later, as Erin established Silver Salon, Evan jumped into the world of tour management. It was during this time that his path towards understanding organization and leadership began to unfold.
Eager to explore new avenues, Evan transitioned into vocational ministry and began his role of assistant to the Production Director at NewSpring Church, the largest church in South Carolina. It was within the church's dynamic environment that he discovered his true passion for leadership and the profound impact it has on shaping individuals and fostering a healthy culture. Over the years, Evan took on various roles within the church, consistently putting his knowledge into practice by mobilizing volunteers to create engaging Sunday experiences.
In 2018, Evan once again embarked on a new chapter, this time joining Erin at Silver Salon. This decision allowed them to leverage their individual strengths and divide leadership responsibilities accordingly. Erin's focus gravitated towards the technical aspects of the business—teaching, training, and driving financial growth—while Evan assumed the mantle of leadership and culture development, recruitment, and ensuring an outstanding front desk and guest experience. From its humble beginnings with only its namesake as an employee, Silver Salon has flourished into a team of 20 talented individuals. Since 2018, the salon has expanded its offerings to include an Artist Academy, an internal lead team, and a comprehensive leadership development program. These endeavors serve to uplift and equip team leaders, enabling them to support the salon's existing growth and prepare for the anticipated expansion in the months ahead.
While Evan's introduction to the salon industry may have been out of the ordinary, he has discovered his true calling in developing leaders and cultivating exceptional cultures within their own salon. In addition to his role as a co-leader at the salon, Evan is currently establishing his own coaching business, specializing in leadership and culture development, to help salons thrive. He also dedicates his time to recording a bi-weekly leadership podcast, Touch the Line.
In his down time, Evan enjoys fishing, college football games, and spending quality time with Erin and their two beautiful children.
